I’m an outgoing person who loves God, life, and people.  I am a singer and songwriter who is passionate about creating music that glorifies God, I am a minstrel completely sold to a God who saved me.

I am in the space of writing my own songs based on what I hear and what I’ve experienced.  Being a mature singer means I’ve also experienced life, hardships, challenges, and joys that I can incorporate into my music to bring about the healing needed.

I see myself growing in the gospel music space and having written more life-changing songs. I am a wife and a mother of three, I would like to expose children to music and record them. I’m looking at writing in that space and including my children as well.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Information Technology and work as a Business Analyst in the telecommunications industry.

Background

I was born at Matsotsosela Village, Giyani in Limpopo. At home, there were only two of us, my older sister and I. I grew up in church, both my mother and my late grandmother were born-again Christians.  I was born and raised in a Pentecostal church called Pentecostal Protestant Church in my village. I started singing at church as part of the Sunday School Choir.  I also attempted singing in a school choir but since I was three grades ahead, it was tricky to place me.

I started real singing at the age of 10 when we had a small singing group called “The Power of the Blood” choir established by one of the brothers in our church.  I then gained the confidence to start leading songs which at the time were called chorus leading.  In 1993 at the age of 13, I got a scholarship to go study at one of the major government schools in Giyani town.  That’s when I started chorus leading seriously at the then-School Christian Movement.  I went on to be a lead vocal in various worship teams and choirs including university and church.

I’m currently leading worship at my local church in Midrand. My husband and I lead the team of worship leaders and musicians there.

Why Gospel Music?

God is my life and I want to give back to Him the voice that He gave to me.

I believe singing for me is a calling and God is calling me to bring a message of healing and hope through music unto Him and His people. More than anything He has called me to establish His kingdom, to be His instrument to heal, touch and deliver His people.

The message that I would like people who listen to my music to take is that it is all about God and what He sent us here on earth to do. We are His people, and we should live for Him, that is how we find our purpose and are able to live lives of service to others.
